Baby Shower and Touring SF

This weekend was eventful to say the least. My neighbor Lee, Connie and Naomi all threw me a wonderful baby shower! Yohei and I received tons of precious items which we will definitely use with fond memories of those who gave them to us and we are so incredibly thankful. We have a special place in our heart for everyone who came (or tried to come or came in spirit) and we are looking forward to having many more fun memories with them, like barbecues and dinner parties.

I am also secretely hoping that all of my friends get married soon and have babies, when the time is right of course.

Here we are all getting ready to eat, from L to R we have Lee, Kathryn, Mom (in the front), Shannon, Kristin, Connie, Naomi, Emi, and my Grandma!

Here is my Mom and Lee with the cake, how cute!

Here is the stroller that my neighbors Lee and Patti got for me, I can't wait to use it! This is also a pretty accurate shot of my "baby bump" here I am 35 weeks and 2 days pregnant. As I am updating this blog I am 35 weeks and 4 days pregnant, basically I only have about 4 weeks to go.

Here is a picture of most of the other baby items that Yohei and I have received. We are both so thankful and I am really looking forward to using everything, and organizing it into our nursery. We feel so fortunate to have such amazing family members and friends who are just as eager as we are to meet our new baby!

One more group picture around the cake from L to R Christine, Kathryn, Kristin, me, my Mom, Emi, Connie, Lee, Lisa, Joshua, my Grandmother, and Naomi.

Other than the baby shower, Emi and Naomi stayed over at Casa Akagawa, we had Japanese breakfasts every morning courtesy of my Dad, Chef Akagawa. I also went to Alcatraz for the first time, went to Lombard Street, Ocean Beach, and Japantown. Basically Emi and I were like Japanese tourists in San Francisco, the only thing that was missing were our Hawaiian shirts.

This picture was taken on the last day, my Dad was excited to have a Japanese visitor who likes natto so he decided to make tons of sushi. For 27 years of my life, I never knew my dad was capable of making such delicious sushi.

I wlll post more pictures later from this weekend.

  1. The baby shower was so much fun! Staying at Casa Akagawa is always great - lots of good food. We need to walk the lake again!
