Vegas

So I had been “itching” to go to Vegas for awhile for a Hangover type experience with my girlfriends one last time before attempting a second child. So early January I sent out an e-mail hoping a few could accompany me to VEGAS the weekend of February 3rd. To my surprise and delight a total of 9 girls (10 including myself) were able to come!!! We had such an amazing time. It was everything I wanted and more. Sometimes its just really nice and refreshing to have a nice weekend with the girls.

Below in alphabetical order is the Vegas Crew:

• Connie C: Met Connie in San Francisco while working at Novogradac, she is really good at explaining complicated things, doesnt drink but can party none the less. We had an insane trip to Europe together, missed our flight to Ireland & Italy, (my fault), but our friendship survived.

• Satch F: Met Satchi through Yohei. She is so dependable, caring, and never afraid to speak her mind.

• Karen H: One of my current coworkers, very sweet and hard working, one of her first times clubbing in Vegas so we have to take care of her.

• Emi I: Met Emi in Japan but did not start hanging out until she started attending UCSB, Emi has a very infectious laugh, if you tell her something horrible that happened to you, she will probably point out all of the funny points of the story, and then you will start to think its funny too.

• Minako K: Met MIna while at UCSB, Mina is very kind and can also empathize with you.

• Mika M: Met Mika while at UCSB, Mika is very sweet, thoughtful, and sometimes gets lost (like me) .

• Naomi P: Met Naomi while in Japan, instant connection, lots of the same interests but slightly different personalties make a great combination. We've worked through a lot together and our friendship is very strong.

• Ariella T: One of my current coworkers, inspiration for all Mom's out there who want to look great and eat healthy. Ariella always follows through and is very understanding and sweet.

• Regina W: One of my current coworkers, great at communicating, she could probably sell you a used pencil or something! Always fun to talk to and eat with.

Here is a picture of all of us!!

I was so excited and surprised to walk into our gorgeous hotel room at Aria and find Naomi decorated the room with the help of Emi & Mina. There were Happy Birthday signs, candy, & BOBS DONUTS! I’ll never forgot how special & grateful I felt for such wonderful friends.

Then as the weekend went on it was so crazy and fun, we went to Haze, XS, and Marquee to see our favorite DJ Cascade. From disastrous hangovers to orange legs and swollen vocal cords, the trip was everything I had hoped and more!

With that all being said every night and morning, I was away, I missed Keila & Yohei.  It just wasn't the same falling asleep without them.  I'll never forget how happy I was to see them again in the parking garage.  Yohei had a hair cut and had just taken a shower.  Keila seemed confused at first when she saw me but once she realized I was bag she had a huge ear to ear smile and gave me a big hug.  On your first trip away from your family 2 days can seem like forever!!!
