Today is Keila's 4 month birthday

Its been forever since I last updated this blog, the time flies by really fast, even though I'm not working. Above were a bunch of passport pictures that I took for Keila! When we go to Japan, she will definitely need a passport. Speaking of pictures, Keila, Yohei, and I took our first set of professional studio pictures yesterday. They came out fantastic!! I can't wait to post them online, for now we only have the proofs. Keila is such a cute baby though, she is cute on the inside and out, she never hesitates to break through a big smile. She is always happy and sweet, I love her so much. Anyways, since the last update, what has happened.... I have discovered a new passion for bento boxes. I have been making Yohei bento boxes everyday, some look better than others, below are pictures of the first two bento boxes that I created in my life. Here we have the first bento ever made, it includes apples, a spinach omelet, rice and niku jaga. Here we have the second bento ever made, it includes chicken karaage, stewed carrots and daikon radish stars, two nigiri (one plain and one with furikake), eggs, and cherries. I've learned that bentos should incorporate as many colors as possible, the optimum would be red, orange, yellow, green, black, brown and white. The most difficult colors to use are yellow and orange, unless you make an egg and include carrots in every bento, to combat this I went out and bought a yellow pepper and baby carrots, but I recently discovered that Yohei doesnt like baby carrots so I have been eating them. I really enjoy making bentos for Yohei, it is sort of like art, I went out and bought these cute egg molds as well that you can use to shape your hard boiled eggs into stars and hearts. Recently I've been sort of slacking on taking pictures of the bentos, but I figure people are probably not that interested in seeing them anyway, so I will save my photographs for the really good ones. I'm pretty happy with the way things are going now, Keila has been getting bigger and hit some major landmarks, she has learned how to roll over, suck her thumb, touch her toes, and she can sit up in chairs now. Starting to roll over... できました! うれしい! 遊んでいる 笑っている お風呂のあとで、バスローブをきます! 足をつかんでいます。 せきにすわっています。 おきたばっかり。
すこし大きくなりました!

  1. Ahhhh!!! I love the update :) I would go with passport pic #1 or #4. Keila is such a pretty little girl and she is so active! Touching her toes and so expressive. I kinda wish that I got a boppy instead of the breast friend pillow b/c it looks like you can use it for sitting, too.. also, way to go on the bento making. I'm sure Yohei really appreciates it!
