Keila's 5th Birthday .. A Crazy Wild Party

Up until now, we have had all of Keila's parties at home, and managed to keep them relatively small. This year, Keila really pressed for a big bounce house birthday party, so I agreed. We picked Scooters Jungle in Aliso Viejo. Going with the jungle-animal theme.. sort of. we decided to incorporate owls in reference to her fukuro san that she still sleeps with. I think about 30 kids came to the party. I would say the kids had a pretty good time. Personally I needed a glass of wine or 2 ... It was ... like a jungle... lol

Keila started transitional kindergarten a few weeks ago. They have a policy where if you invite 1 child you must invite all. I think this is a great policy, but with all of Keila's Japanese school friends, we simply could not invite the whole class.  Maybe next year.

As Keila gets older, I get to see more of her wonderful qualities.  Keila is very kind and gentle, but she is also extremely funny. She has the best memory, and frequently reminds me of things. She is so patient with her little brother and tries really hard to help him out, even if it means letting him play with all of her toys.
